Organizing Your Pantry

Having an organized pantry can make all the difference in your kitchen. It does not matter if your pantry is big or small if it’s a traditional pantry or if you are using a cupboard as your pantry. Having an organized and cohesive space takes away stress as you can easily managing your pantry.

I started using mason jars in my pantry about 7 years ago and it was a GAME CHANGER.

All those boxes of snacks, crackers, and cereals never fit perfect because they are all different shapes and sizes. The first thing you will want to buy is large mason jars. There are so many sizes to choose from so see what works for your space. You will also need to decide how many will fit in your pantry. You will need a dry erase marker and of course some yummy snack.

I have 60 jars that are 64oz in my pantry. It may seem like a lot but when you buy a big flour or big sugar those each take 3 jars each, so they fill up fast. You can always start with a few and add more jars as needed. This will keep the cost down when you start transitioning your pantry.

When I fill my jars I open the snack that I am putting in the jar and close the lids up tight.

Once I add the snacks, I use a dry erase marker to add what snack I put in the jar and the date. When you finish your snacks, and you need to change the writing I use dish soap, warm water, and an Sos pad it comes right off.

So, as you can see this is such an easy task that will change your pantry. It keeps everything fresh and looks so good.
